Our Story
As the first specialised home visiting service in the region, we understand the challenges families face in accessing medical care. That’s why we are a medical service at heart, sending out doctors and nurses as our primary service. This means that people no longer have to worry about the difficulty of getting to the hospital, especially after surgery, or burdening their families with the task of transporting them for blood tests and other medical procedures—all can be conveniently done from the comfort of home. Whether it’s wound care, specialised nursing care such as feeding through tubes, or any other medical need, our dedicated team is here to provide comprehensive and personalised care, tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
In addition, our certified nurse companions offer invaluable support and companionship, ensuring that families can rest assured knowing their loved ones are in capable hands. We also offer comprehensive training programs for caregivers, empowering families with the knowledge and skills they need to provide quality care. By offering respite and preventing burnout, we aim to support families in every aspect of caregiving.

Our Founders
Dr. Gordon Pang
A leading geriatrician and physician in Sabah, Dr. Gordon is the driving force behind the evolution of geriatric care in the region. With over a decade of dedication to geriatric medicine, he brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to elderly healthcare. Graduating from the International Medical University in 2009, he earned his specialist qualification (MRCP UK) in 2016 and completed a prestigious fellowship in geriatric medicine in 2021.
As the head of the geriatric unit at Hospital Queen Elizabeth and the appointed head of geriatric services by the Sabah Health Department since 2022, he is committed to ensuring every older adult receives personalised, world-class medical attention.
At the forefront of Blue Swan Home Care, he champions a vision where aging is embraced with grace, and the golden years are truly golden.
John Cham
As Managing Director of Blue Swan Home Care, John is dedicated to elevating healthcare standards by delivering specialised geriatric medical services directly to homes in Sabah. With a background in physiotherapy, specialising in orthopaedic and elderly care, his professional journey blends innovation and dedicated service.
After earning his degree in Australia, he established Life Ready Mobile, creating fully funded healthcare programs for hospitals and insurance companies. These initiatives set a high standard of care and operational excellence. Returning to Sabah, he aims to transform it into an international retirement haven and enhance caregiver standards through a dedicated academy.
His leadership is ushering in a new era of healthcare accessibility and quality in his hometown.
